Soft Raisin Drop Cookies

Ingredients:
2 c. raisins
1 c. water
Boil above for 5 minutes. When cool, add 1 tsp. soda
Cream:
 2 c. sugar
 1 c. butter, margarine, or shortening
 1 tsp. vanilla
 3 eggs
 (Add in cooled raisin mixture)
Add:
 4 c. flour
 1 tsp. cinnamon
 1 tsp. baking powder
 1/2 tsp. salt
 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
 nuts if desired
Bake at 350º for 10–15 minutes
Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies. To store, put waxed paper
between the layers so they don’t stick to each other.
